What is Implant Dentistry?
Implant dentistry is the system that provides dental implants to patients who have missing teeth.
Dental Implant Procedure
- Dental implants are small titanium rods placed into the gums and jaw that fuse with your jawbone.
- The fusing, also called ossification, takes 3-6 months.
- Once the ossification is completed, we place permanent dental crowns on the dental implants. This part of the implant dentistry procedure is called restoration, because the dental crowns ‘restore’ your smile.
Because implant dentistry is something we feel is important to our patients with missing teeth, we offer several specialized implant dentistry procedures that can streamline the dental implants treatment. We offer implant supported dentures, including same day dentures, an implant dentistry marvel as it gives us the opportunity to give you teeth in a day! Same day dentures are able to place the dental implants and restore them with dental crowns in one day!
We also use the CEREC system to give you beautiful, fully functioning dental crowns in a day! Using CEREC software and equipment, we are able to create high quality dental crowns while you wait.
The other bonus about getting implant dentistry procedures at Cary Family Dental is we do all the steps of the procedure in our comfortable office. Get to know our awesome team because we are here for you every step of the way. We are happy to offer you the familiarity of having your treatments done all in place.
